With four films spanning more than three decades, there’s no denying that Rambo is one of the most successful and beloved film franchises of all time.
While it’s hard to imagine anyone other than Sylvester Stallone as the tough Vietnam vet, the 69-year-old initially turned down the role of John Rambo when it was offered to him (because many other actors passed on the part, and therefore he felt the flick wasn’t likely to get made).
