Brother-sister duo Derek Hough and Julianne Hough haven't starred together on Dancing With the Stars since 2009, but the talented siblings are now joining forces and bringing their fancy footwork to another show— their own!
“Julianne and I announced on Tuesday that we have been in the process of developing a Starz show about competitive ballroom dancing at the world-championship level,” current DWTS pro Derek posted on his blog today. “The show is called Blackpool, and it dives into the darker side of competitive ballroom dancing, conveying the politics, scandal and love and sex triangles involved in that world.”

The 27-year-old, who will return to the ABC competition series with his new partner, Kellie Pickler, is thrilled that he’s able to work on his new show and Dancing simultaneously.
“I’m stoked that my other projects still allow for me to be a part of the DWTS family,” Derek said. “Not to mention, I’ll be working with one of the coolest (and funniest) women around: Kellie Pickler. I can’t wait to see what season 16 has in store.”
And neither can we! The new cast of DWTS was revealed earlier this week, and will include the likes of reality star Lisa Vanderpump, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, country star Wynonna and more. The show will return for it's season premiere on March 18.

While it’s bound to be an eventful season on Dancing with the Stars, Derek promises his fans that he and Julianne’s new show is will also be scandalous!
“We will be sharing some of our own shocking stories, as well as working together as executive producers and head choreographers,” he says of his collaboration with Julianne on Blackpool. “I truly cannot wait.”
