'I Lost 80 Pounds!'

In the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now, Lisa Lampanelli shows off her new svelte size 12 body and reveals she’s lost 80 pounds — from an unhealthy high of 248 — since undergoing gastric-sleeve surgery in April.
“I feel so much healthier,” Lisa tells In Touch during the exclusive photo shoot.
The comedian and former Celebrity Apprentice contestant, 51, says she’s been struggling with weight since she was 18.
“Crazy diets, good diets — you can’t name a diet I didn’t do,” she says. “Finally I said, ‘I’ve tried it all, and there’s no shame in taking the next step.’ The doctor who ultimately did my procedure explained that obesity risks are much greater than the risks for this surgery.”
“I was such an overeater,” Lisa explains. “Now, I get full quickly — at three, four bites, I have to stop.”
While her stomach will stretch out eventually (the procedure removes a large portion of the stomach and leaves behind a small “sleeve,” restricting the amount of food the stomach is able to take in), Lisa is not at all worried about reverting back to old habits. “I’m keeping a close watch. I don’t want to gain again.”
“The size I am right now,” Lisa tells In Touch,” is the size I was always meant to be.”
