Shain Gandee Found

Buckwild star Shain Gandee has been found dead.

The 21-year-old from Sissonville, West Virginia was one of three people found dead in a vehicle this morning, April 1, after being reported missing overnight.

According to the Kanawha County Commissioner, Kent Carper, emergency responders converged in the Wolf Pen Road area in Sissonville after reports that a vehicle had been discovered.

The MTV reality star last told people he was going four-wheeling in his Ford Bronco with his uncle, David Gandee, 48, but no one knew of the duo’s exact whereabouts.

According to the County Sheriff’s Office, the pair were last seen at Larry’s Bar in Sissonville at around 3 a.m. on Sunday. Family members spent most of Easter day trying to locate and contact the men before reporting them missing to authorities.

A second body in the car has been identified as Shain's uncle, David. The third individual found in the car has yet to be identified.

Shain was one of nine main cast members on MTV's Buckwild, which chronicles the lives of young adults in Sissonville and Charleston, W.Va. The series debuted in January 2013; in February, the network announced that the show would be returning for a second season.

MTV addressed Shain's death in an exclusive statement to In Touch: "We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly.”

Their bodies were removed from the vehicle and have been taken to the Office of the Medical Examiner.  Autopsies will be performed to determine the cause of death.

*UPDATE: An autopsy confirms Shain's cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning. Click here for more information on the details surrounding his death.
