Beyoncé is famously known for keeping her personal life out of the spotlight – that is, until now.
“I always battle with 'How much do I reveal about myself?'” she admits in the new trailer for her self-directed HBO documentary, Life Is But a Dream, airing Feb. 16.
In the video, the mother of Blue Ivy, 1, opens up about her pregnancy, shows off her baby bump and shares a video clip of her daughter’s sonogram.
"I just had a feeling that something was going on," Bey admits about first finding out she was pregnant. "Really, this is crazy."
During her outstanding MTV Video Music Awards performance in 2011, the singer finally told the world that she and husband Jay-Z were expecting their first child...but it wasn't easy having to conceal that news– or her growing belly.
"They keep putting me in these tight clothes and trying to hide it,” the 31-year-old shares about her developing tummy. “It's very difficult. I don't know how I'm going to get through this."
And now, over one year later, Beyoncé is ready to show the world what it's like to be her: Singer, superstar, mommy and human being.
After celebrating her daughter’s first birthday on Jan. 7, the new mom is looking forward to an exciting 2013. The “Single Ladies” songstress is set to perform at the 2012 Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 3 alongside her former Destiny’s Child bandmates for the first time five years.
