Entertainment Tonight’s Samantha Harris: Family Comes First
Entertainment Tonight’s Samantha Harris is used to breaking news and turning up the heat on the celebrities she interviews on her top-rated show, but when she’s home in the kitchen of her beautiful new LA abode, she’s far more interested in breaking eggs and turning up the heat on her high-end oven.
“I love my stove. My range is great because it has a griddle in the middle. I can make pancakes or French toast on the weekends for my family, which is a lot of fun,” says Samantha, 37, in the kitchen she describes as the heart of the 7,000-square-foot house she moved into a little more than a year ago.
“We cook here, we do art projects here and we eat breakfast and dinner as a family here,” she tells In Touch. “To me, that’s the most important thing.”
The former Dancing With the Stars co-host says she loves to bake and often whips up cupcakes, sponge cakes and cookies, usually with daughter Josselyn, 3, by her side.
“She has her spatula and I have mine,” she laughs.
But perhaps the most unique alteration in Samantha and husband Michael Hess’ new home was converting their formal living room into something far more useful – a two story kids’ playroom for daughters Josselyn and Hillary.
“I know it’s kind of silly,” says Samantha, “but it’s great!”
