Jeremy Renner’s on-going divorce and custody battle for his two-year-old daughter Ava just took a nasty turn.
According to court documents, obtained by ‘Radar Online,’ a close friend of Jeremy’s named Kristoffer Winters, 41, who lived with the him during much of the actor’s short-lived, 11-month marriage to Sonni Pacheco, claims Jeremy’s Canadian estranged wife is an extortionist who only married the ‘Avengers’ actor for a green card.
Additionally, he claims to have witnessed parental negligence by Sonni, alleging she drank while pregnant and used drugs after Ava’s birth.

“Throughout her pregnancy, I saw Sonni regularly smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol,” the documents state. “I am an interior designer and I worked out of our home during the time Sonni was pregnant and for approximately six months after she gave birth.”
Kristoffer says Sonni’s behavior failed to improve after giving birth to Ava in March 2013.
In the legal papers, he claims, “She took trips to Canada at least twice after Ava was born. She did not bring Ava with her on either trip. She told me that she needed some ‘alone time.’ Upon her return from one of these trips, she told me that she spent an hour with her family and spent the rest of the time partying and doing cocaine with friends.”

While the 44-year-old actor failed to substantiate these claims in his own legal filings, he reiterated that Kristoffer “is like a brother to [him] and an uncle to Ava.”
‘TMZ’ reports that Sonni has since denied accusations of negligence — but failed to address the allegations that she extorted her ex by threatening to release embarrassing videos of him if he failed to assist her in getting a green card.

Since filing for divorce in December, the former couple are disputing over custody of their daughter. While the tot currently splits her time between her parents 50/50, Sonni is fighting for full custody, while demanding a hike in child support.
The estranged couple are due in court for a hearing related to the matter on April 1.
