Rosie Perez returned to The View on Tuesday, Feb. 3 — and in her first episode back, she managed to stir the pot!
During the show’s “Hot Topics” segment, the 50-year-old actress and her co-hosts were discussing Bobbi Kristina Brown’s ongoing health crisis, when she made a controversial remark regarding the Angela Bassett-directed, Lifetime biopic titled, ‘Whitney.’

“Just thought about the movie that came out, and this is no disrespect to Angela Bassett because I love [her], but this unauthorized bio of her mom must have killed her,” Rosie said.
Realizing her poor choice of words, she quickly backtracked, “That was terrible phrasing. It must have hurt her deeply to watch that. We forget these people are human beings. We put them in the tabloids, and we forget they’re human beings.”

While her words may have come off wrong, the actress made an interesting point. The movie, which premiered last month, forced the 21-year-old to relive the heartbreak of losing her mother.
She was also passionately opposed to the production after the famous director said she “didn’t even consider” casting BK to play her mother in the eponymous, made-for-TV movie.

The most recent update regarding Bobbi’s health — after she was found unconscious in the bathtub of her Roswell, Ga. home on Sunday, Feb. 1 — came earlier today, Feb. 4, from her father, Bobby Brown.
In a statement released by his lawyer, the 45-year-old father said, “We are currently investigating the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina. To correct earlier reports, Bobbi Kristina is not and has never been married to Nick Gordon. We continue to request privacy in this matter. Please allow for our family to deal with this matter and give Bobbi Kristina the love and support she needs at this time.”
