They knew Taylor Swift’s parents were trouble when they walked in.
According to a new report, the 24-year-old’s parents, Andrea and Scott, have become “difficult and controlling stage parents” as the country music star’s fame has continued to grow.
Her parents’ increasing demands have prompted several members of Taylor’s team—including her long-time publicist and business managers—to resign from working with the blonde beauty.

“Taylor’s parents are incredibly difficult to deal with,” one source told Page Six. “Their expectations are enormous, and they are very hard to please. They want to pay as little as possible and treat people like s--t, because they think those people are lucky to have the chance to work with a superstar like Taylor.”
Adding to the tension of the situation is Andrea and Scott’s own relationship. Numerous reports claim they’re living separate lives and their marital strain is putting stress on the business.
Despite all this, Taylor has remained professional and respectful—for now.
“Taylor’s parents think they can do things better, and what makes things complicated is that they no longer live together,” the source added.
“They are not on the same page and don’t even like to be in the same room. Andrea requests that her husband not be present at meetings.
"Taylor is incredibly smart and professional, but at some point she’s going to need her parents to stop, before it turns into a total Katherine Heigl ‘momager’ situation.”
