Melissa Rycroft Rushed
to Hospital; Sustains
Head Injury on 'DWTS'
Has DWTS lost an All-Star?
Former Bachelor contender and Dancing With the Stars celebrity Melissa Rycroft was rushed to the hospital yesterday after sustaining a head injury while practicing for tonight's show.
"Melissa was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where she is currently being examined," her rep revealed Sunday afternoon. Melissa’s husband Tye Strickland and her dance partner Tony Dovolani both accompanied her to the ER.
"Really concerned about @MelissaRycroft..... we don't know if we are dancing tomorrow !!!!! Please keep us in your prayers #trouper," Tony tweeted yesterday after the incident.
The 29-year-old mom is scheduled to tango to Britney Spears’ “Toxic” this week, admitting the dance is her “guilty pleasure,” but will she make it back to the ballroom?
Thankfully the Dallas beauty has since been released from the hospital, but whether or not she’ll dance is still up in the air. If Melissa is medically cleared to compete, she will perform two numbers tonight during the show’s team routine segment before dancing the tango tomorrow.
"Thank you so much for sending your prayers..still seeing and talking to docs this AM, will give more details soon, but thanks for your love!" Melissa tweeted this morning.
Wishing you all the best, Melissa. Feel better!
