Go Purple! Stars
Celebrate Spirit Day
By Speaking Out
Against Bullying and
Standing With the LGBT
Forget going green! Today’s biggest trend? Going purple, of course!
You may have noticed many of Hollywood’s biggest stars in music, film, television and more are sporting purple today—and don’t worry, it’s not some major runway trend that you must have missed out on!
The purple is a sign of solidarity with the LGBTQ community in celebrating #SpiritDay.
Spirit Day, which is sponsored by GLAAD, is celebrated on the third Thursday of October every year; getting involved shows that you not only support the LGBTQ community, but also want to speak out against the reckless bullying that haunts many young members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.
How can you get involved?! It’s easy—by wearing purple!
Check out how your favorite stars and celebrate, then tweet us a pic of your purple as well!
