“SURPRISE 🤰❤️,” the former TLC star, 27, teased fans in the caption. However, it seems Nicole isn’t actually pregnant.
This isn’t the first time Nicole has sparked rumors that she’s expanding her family. In June 2020, she ignited pregnancy speculation after she posted another photo of an ultrasound on her Instagram. Many fans interpreted it as an announcement that she was expecting baby No. 1 with her fiancé at the time, Azan Tefou (real name: Hassan M’Raouni). Shortly after, she took to her Instagram Story to clear the air.
“No, I am not pregnant,” the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After alum wrote at the time. “Sorry for the confusing post. Hope everyone is staying safe out there! Peace and love to all.”
The Florida native is already a mother to a 7-year-old daughter named May from a previous relationship. Though Azan isn’t May’s biological father, he was a father figure in her life while he and Nicole were together. Nicole previously gushed about how sweet their relationship is. “They get along so well!” she told a fan during an April 2019 Instagram Q&A. “Azan loves her like she was his own daughter. He wants the best in life for her.”
The feeling was mutual — so much so that May even called her mom’s fiancé “Daddy.” Nicole also revealed at the time, “May loves Azan very much and misses him a lot as well.” While the little girl is in contact with her biological father, she’s never actually met him in person. In June 2019, Nicole told fans her daughter has seen more of the Morocco native than her actual dad.
Nicole and Azan made their 90 Day Fiancé debut in together in 2016, appearing in seasons 4 and 5 of the flagship series. They went on to share their love story and journey on seasons 3 and 4 of the spinoff 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?
In March 2020, Nicole traveled to Morocco to visit Azan and ended up getting stranded abroad after the country closed its borders and imposed travel bans at the height of the coronavirus pandemic. They spent nearly five months together, the longest period of the time the long-distance couple has ever been together physically, and she returned to America that August.
The couple seemed to be going strong and Nicole confirmed she and Azan were still engaged that October. Unfortunately, by July, they broke up and called off their engagement. Nicole opened up about her split from Azan in a statement to In Touch.
“Azan and I have decided to go our separate ways,” Nicole said at the time, confirming they remained amicable after calling it quits. “We had much love and respect for each other, but we weren’t without our faults. Unfortunately we can no longer continue our journey together.”
“Here’s a couple life updates with me🙂I made a big decision in my life. I’m enrolled in college at [State College of Florida, Manatee–Sarasota]!🤓 It has been a challenge going back to school after so long. But I am determined to make a better life for me and my daughter,” she announced via Instagram in September. “I am currently working on pre recs to get into the Radiology program. I’m so blessed to have the supportive family that I do. They help keep me going on the days that I doubt myself.”
She added, “For those who have asked, my relationship with Azan has ended. I am currently concentrating on school and making sure my focus is on what’s important🙂.”
