“He Did Nothing Of the
Sort”: Anna Wintour
Says Kanye West Didn’t
Beg Her to Put Kim
Kardashian on the
Cover of ‘Vogue’
Prepare your world to crumble. Apparently Kim Kardashian and Kanye West didn’t end up on the cover of Vogue by begging Anna Wintour to make it happen.
The editor-in-chief of the iconic fashion magazine penned an Editor’s Letter for the upcoming shape issue of the magazine and put the rumors to rest, according to a new report.
“You may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue’s cover,” she allegedly writes. “He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn’t true.”
The rumors were fueled when the rapper appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show and proclaimed, “there’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue.”
Not only was there no begging involved, but it also appears the fashion icon is actually a fan of the #WorldsMostTalkedAboutCouple (which they were dubbed by the cover).
“Kanye is an amazing performer and cultural provocateur, while Kim, through her strength of character, has created a place for herself in the glare of the world’s spotlight, and it takes real guts to do that,” she wrote.
After reading that it’s slightly more convincing that Kanye didn’t have to beg anyone to make this happen.
It’s worth pointing out she didn’t say ANYTHING about bribery! Just sayin’…
