After being rushed to the hospital days earlier, Duane “Dog” Chapman is headed home. According to TMZ, the Dog’s Most Wanted star checked out late at night on Monday, September 16, after medical tests revealed that he hadn’t had a heart attack. Instead, doctors believe that his heart emergency was caused by stress and blood pressure issues. A rep confirmed the news to In Touch. “Dog is back at home and resting comfortably,” they shared. “He is overwhelmed by the support of fans and friends from around the world, and is deeply touched by the outpouring of prayers, love, and encouragement.”

Earlier reports indicated that the Dog the Bounty Hunter alum had been experiencing chest pains, but his representative assured In Touch that he was doing just fine. “I can confirm Dog is under [a] doctor’s care and is resting comfortably,” they told In Touch the 16th. “Thank you for all of your well wishes — keep ’em coming.” A day later, the rep added, “He is following doctor’s orders and taking time to heal.” And he’s got his family rooting for him. Daughter Bonnie Jo Chapman made sure her dad knew she was thinking about him with a special Instagram post. “Love you, pops,” she wrote, sharing a throwback picture of the family.

Though the 66-year-old bounty hunter’s daughter-in-law Jamie Chapman commended him for handling everything with grace in the wake of wife Beth Chapman’s death, it makes sense that the star has been under a lot of stress. While chatting with In Touch, he revealed he’s been struggling a lot with being on his own — even when it comes to something as simple as making sure his hair looks good. “David [Robinson]’s trying to help, poor David. He can’t do it. He’s not a girl,” he said. “[My hair is] all crooked and s–t.”

Though Beth did her best to prepare her husband to be alone, he admitted he never thought “it’d be this bad.” He is committed to being alone, though. When rumors emerged that he was dating someone new, he shut them down by reiterating on Instagram that the blonde bombshell was his “always and forever.” In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he revealed that he promised his wife he’d never replace her. “Big Daddy, you better not let another girl take my place,” he said she demanded. “I won’t,” he told her. “Even though she is not physically there … mentally and spiritually, she is there.”
