Nearly a week after Duane “Dog” Chapman was spotted having dinner with a woman, he’s shutting down any theories that he might be ready to move on from his late wife, Beth Chapman. On Thursday, August 15, the star took to Instagram to remind fans that he already found his soulmate — and he’s not exactly looking for another. The Dog’s Most Wanted star sent the message by sharing an old photo of himself and his wife. It was one the blonde beauty’s daughter Cecily Chapman had shared a week earlier, and it shows a much younger version of the couple kissing.

“Day one stuff … ❤️,” Cecily, 26, captioned the shot. When Dog, 66, reshared it on his Instagram Story, he added the hashtag, “#alwaysandforever.” It seems like the reality star wanted to make it clear to fans that he’s not looking for love — and he won’t be any time soon. In fact, his daughter Bonnie Jo Chapman has claimed he plans to be single for the rest of his life, something he’s talked about in interviews.

In July, Bonnie, 20, told fans that her father wouldn’t remarry after Beth’s passing. “Nope, he found his soulmate,” she said when a fan asked. “No one can replace her in his heart. Their love was one of a kind, [and] it made me believe love truly exists.” Though Dog hasn’t been single for 30 years, he claims his wife prepared him for how to be alone, and he’s ready.

“For two to three years, she knew this might happen,” the Dog the Bounty Hunter star told Entertainment Tonight. “So she would say, ‘Who is going to sit next to you?’ And I said, ‘No one.’” When she said, “Big Daddy, you better not let another girl take my place,” he promised, “I won’t.” After all, who could take Beth’s place when she’s still with her man? “Even though she is not physically there,” Dog said, “mentally and spiritually, she is there.”
