Gone, but not forgotten. Leland Chapman’s wife, Jamie Pilar Chapman, shared a very “personal” card from her late mother-in-law, Beth Chapman, after the reality star tragically lost her battle with cancer. Jamie took to Instagram on Monday, July 8, with a photo of the heartfelt message that Beth wrote to her on Mother’s Day and revealed how much sentimental value it holds for her.

Jamie revealed that she debated whether or not to share the message, because “it’s the most personal piece” of Beth that she has “besides memories and photos.” The WGN star had penned a sweet note on the left side of the card, revealing how grateful she was that Jamie is in Leland’s life.

“Happy Mother’s Day. May you be showered by love,” the Dog’s Most Wanted star wrote to her daughter-in-law. “I’m so happy you love Leland as much as you do. It makes me feel good to know he will always be loved. Be patient and never go to bed angry. Love you, Mom #2.”

As we previously reported, Beth sadly passed away at the age of 51 on June 26. In the wake of her death, Jamie said that she’s read the card a few times a day to keep her memory alive. “Today as I’m reading it, it’s hitting me differently due to it being my anniversary,” she added. “You know, sometimes when I read it I swear I can hear her voice reading the card with me. Then I start crying.”

“No matter how rocky our start was, we sure did make a beautiful finish,” Jamie concluded. “I will always love him Beth. I’ll always take care of him, and do right by him. Thank you for the impact on raising the man I fell in love with 4 years ago.”

Leland and his wife tied the knot back in 2016 and they are still going strong to this day. Jamie recently shared heartwarming throwback photos of them packing on PDA to celebrate their milestone, after taking to Instagram with another tribute for her mother-in-law.

“Just thank you for everything,” Jamie wrote about Beth. “Absolutely everything. I know you’re watching over us and will be with us wherever we go, but man I sure do miss you.”
