Did Kailyn Lowry quit Teen Mom 2? As another season comes to an end, fans are wondering if the mother of four is officially saying goodbye to the franchise.

“Thankful for the opportunities and never discredit that I was able to branch out because of it,” Kail wrote in the comments section of the official Teen Mom Instagram account ahead of the season 11 finale on Tuesday, May 10. “Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey! Can’t wait to watch everyone’s stories unfold in future episodes!”

Speculation of her exit comes with mixed reactions from her Teen Mom 2 costars.

“Thank you,” DeVoin Austin – who shares daughter Nova with Briana DeJesus – responded to her comment. “You gave me the boost I needed in a very critical time. Forever thankful for that,” he added with a praying hands emoji.

Kail’s longtime enemy, Briana couldn’t seem to care less of the show’s loss. “Boooo!” she wrote.

“Get TF off the show then,” the mother of two added with six tomato emoji.

The “Coffee Convos” cohost already took an extended hiatus from filming throughout the season, missing “5-6 episodes.”

“I’m not in tonight’s episode tonight,” Kail shared via Twitter a week after the season premiere in March 2022, “Also – this was by choice – was just letting y’all know.”

Her decision to part ways from the show came after her ex Chris Lopez joined the cast.

After news of Chris’ contract on the show swirled in August, Kailyn candidly addressed the situation on an Instagram Live Q&A.

When one fan asked, “Are you upset Chris signed to be on Teen Mom or are you unbothered?” Kailyn replied, “I don’t give one single f–k what Chris does.”

“I care about how it was handled/how I found out and the lack of respect people have for me after 12 years of doing this show,” she added.

“Are you filming new episodes for TM2?” another fan asked, before Kailyn bluntly replied, “I am not.”

Kailyn also shared an update months later about her lack of involvement with the show at the time.

“Are you still not filming?” one fan questioned during an Instagram Q&A in October 2021. In response, Kail, 29, replied, “I haven’t filmed for about three months.”

That three months turned into a six-month hiatus for the MTV star.

For Kailyn, the time away from the show has proven to be difficult but a choice that was hers to make. “I was like, ‘I cannot bring myself, right now, to get myself into a mind space where I’m openly sharing things on camera,'” she said in a March 2022 episode of her podcast “Baby Mamas No Drama.”

“I’m having a really hard time with that because six months felt like a lifetime for me,” she went on to say.

Kailyn continued, saying that it is “so hard to put yourself back in the hot seat and film about things that are so personal.”

Kailyn, who first appeared on 16 and Pregnant in 2010, coparents kids Lux and Creed with Chris and also shares Isaac, 11, with ex Jo Rivera and Lincoln, 7, with ex-husband Javi Marroquin. Over the years, she and Chris have frequently butted heads when it comes to raising their sons.

Tensions between Kailyn and the MTV producers came to a head during the May 10 season finale, as the Pennsylvania native is seen giving the finger to the cameras.

“Everything that I do is, like, babysat and watched,” Kail said when asked what her issues are with filming. “They’re hounding me to talk about my baby dads but where’s Leah talking about Corey and Jeremy?”

“I don’t want to give you stuff that I’m doing when I’m not respected in the same way as them,” she added. “Y’all don’t hound anybody else about their baby dads the way that you talk to me about mine”

Though she took a long “sabbatical” from filming the series, Kail continued to record her podcasts – “Coffee Convos” which she cohosts with Lindsie Chrisley and “Baby Mamas No Drama” with Vee Rivera.

“I make more money podcasting than I do on Teen Mom,” she said

The executive producer of the franchise, Larry Musnik, did not hesitate to remind her of her roots. “I’m proud of all your success, but don’t forget this show made it possible,” he said, to which he received a double middle finger from Kailyn.
