Don’t worry if you don’t know this one — Kody Brown has so many kids, it’s hard to keep track of them all. On season 13 of Sister Wives, the Brown family parents have referred to “the triplets” a couple of times. But who are “the triplets,” and why do their parents seem so concerned about the schooling in regards to the family’s move to Flagstaff, Arizona?

Who Are “The Triplets” on Sister Wives?

Fans of TLC’s reality TV show about the polygamous Brown family likely know that there are no actual sets of multiple births among the kids. Even with 18 of them!

The Brown kids are spread between Kody’s four wives — Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine Brown and Robyn Brown — and none of them managed to have twins or triplets.

So what exactly do the parents mean when they refer to “the triplets”? They’re talking about Aurora, Gwen and Gabe. Aurora, 17, is Robyn’s daughter with her ex-husband, but she was adopted by Kody, 50, after they got married. Gwendyln is the 18-year-old daughter of Kody and Christine, 47. Gabriel is Kody and 50-year-old Janelle’s 18-year-old son.

Are There Other “Triplets” on Sister Wives?’

There are other age clusters throughout the range of Brown children. Logan and Aspyn Brown, for instance, are 25 and 24, so by the Brown family’s logic, they’d be the “twins.”

Mariah Brown is 24, and so is her sister, Maddie Brown. In fact, there are several duos in the bunch who are very close in age. But in the case of the “triplets” the parents refer to, they seem to mean in terms of them being in the same grade together at the same time.

Why Are The Brown Parents Worried About Their Education?

The Brown family moved to Flagstaff in 2018. In the thirteenth season of the TLC series, the decision to make that move is explored. Ultimately, Kody and the sister wives decided that it was the best time to move for two major reasons — finances and the kids’ schooling.

As seen in the clip above, the wives are more open to moving during a time when their kids won’t be too uprooted at school. “Aurora is not quite a junior,” Robyn, 41, explained in the previous season. “And neither is Gabe or Gwen. That’s our only gap where we don’t have a graduation.”

Although Janelle was clearly concerned during the discussion about their kids not adjusting when they move, the Browns ultimately made a new home in Arizona. And the “triplets” seem to be doing just fine if the family social media accounts are any indication.

Hopefully, all the Brown kids are doing great in school, despite their parents’ decision to move them so suddenly.
