‘Sister Wives’ Star Kody Brown Offered to Officiate Mariah’s Wedding: ‘I Would Be Honored’
Will he perform the ceremony? Sister Wives star Kody Brown congratulated his daughter, Mariah, and her new fiancée, Audrey Kriss, on their engagement in a heartwarming message over the weekend. Mariah, 23, got down on one knee in Washington, D.C., during the Women’s March on January 16. The reality star popped the question there because they attended the event together when they first started dating. “We were in the middle of where everyone was marching and I was trying to get the ring out of my pocket, where it was stuck,” Mariah told People while sharing her big news.
“I think Audrey was fixing her hair, but I just got down on one knee and said some sweet things that neither of us can really remember because we were so caught up in the moment,” she said. Mariah, who is the only daughter of Kody and Meri Brown, first crossed paths with Audrey while attending Westminster College and they later became a Facebook official couple in February 2017.

Mariah came out to her Mormon family in 2017 and the topic was discussed on the show. “I just always expected that she would grow up, meet a guy, get married and have kids,” Meri said. Despite the initial surprise, Mariah recently said her loved ones have been nothing but supportive.
“Our friends and family have all been so excited for us! I actually think my dad almost cried! He really likes Audrey,” Mariah revealed to the outlet about Kody’s reaction. “All of our friends have been so sweet and offering to help and our families are obviously excited to share their input.”
Kody also took to Twitter with a heartfelt message of his own on February 17. “Congratulations to my two sweeties @mariahlian & @ohheyitsaudrey for their engagement,” the TLC star wrote. “Another wedding in the works. #LoveIsLove.”
Sister Wives airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
