Is she burning bridges? Jenelle Evans shaded her former Teen Mom 2 costar Leah Messer via Twitter on July 19, and fans were not impressed with the move. She actually included the shady comment as part of a retweet from someone else, and not everyone was happy with Jenelle, 27, for taking the bait. Check out what the former reality TV star had to say in the gallery below.
It’s not exactly a secret in the Teen Mom fandom that Jenelle had her kids temporarily taken away by CPS. She lost custody of them after her husband, David Eason, allegedly killed her dog Nugget.

Fighting
Jenelle had to fight hard to get her children back. She and David, 31, went to courtseveral times in order to regain custody.

All the Kids
Together, the couple has five children. Jenelle is the mother of two kids from previous relationships — Jace, 9, and Kaiser, 4, — and David has two from previous relationships as well — Kaden and Maryssa. They share one biological child together: a 2-year-old daughter named Ensley.

Tears
Finally, Jenelle confirmed that a judge “dismissed” the custody case against her and her spouse while exiting the Columbus County courthouse in North Carolina on July 3. “Crying in tears of joy 😭😭😭,” she wrote on Twitter that day.

Fabricated
In the end, Jenelle recanted her story about David shooting Nugget, claiming that she’d “fabricated” it. “She advised that she never heard or saw anything to indicate that David shot her dog,” said a report obtained by Radar Online. “She [said], ‘I don’t know if she was shot or killed or not.'”

Get the Deets
When someone told Jenelle on Twitter afterward that she shouldn’t have lost her kids “in the first place,” the former TV personality replied, “If you were on TV the same thing would happen to any of you. Obviously, all the accusations were never true and the way CPS conducted themselves was illegal. You don’t even know half the details but everyone wants to report against me when the case was dismissed for a reason.”

Good Mom
“None of you can stand the fact my family is back together,” she continued in a different post. “I’m a damn good mom, regardless of anyone else’s opinion. Don’t let anyone bring you down! 💓”

Guess What?
Now, it seems that comments from more fans have struck a nerve for Jenelle. When one fan wrote on Twitter, “A good mom doesn’t have to get on social media and announce to the world that she’s a good Mom,” she responded, “Well guess what? I’m A DAMN GOOD MOM AND WILL SHOUT IT UNTIL YOUR EARS BLEED.”

Just Saying
That prompted another person to write, “Good moms don’t get their kids taken away. Just sayin’ …”

On Defense
That’s when Jenelle apparently decided to drag another Teen Mom personality into the mix. (Do you think she’s feeling a little defensive right now?)

Just Like Her
“So I guess Leah’s not a good mom? ,” Jenelle wrote. “She got her kids taken and given back just like me .”

Frenemies?
Jenelle was referring to Leah Messer. They used to both star in Teen Mom 2 until Jenelle was fired from the show over the dog killing incident.

Custody
Previously, Leah’s first ex-husband, Corey Simms, was told by his lawyer on the MTV series that he had gained primary custody of the former couple’s 6-year-old twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah.

Confidence
In Touch exclusively reported the change in custody in October 2015, but in January 2016, they went back to sharing custody. “Leah is doing great,” a source said at the time. “She had confidence that she would be proven right and get her custody rights back.”

Never
Leah later claimed that she never truly lost custody of her children. “The current custody situation, just honestly … whatever we think is best for them, we do. We are doing the week on and then a week off,” the MTV star told Us Weekly in October 2018. “It’s always been 50/50. People were like, ‘Leah lost custody.’ I almost did, but I never lost custody of my children.”

Not Happy
In any case, fans were not super thrilled with Jenelle calling out Leah that way in her tweet. “No, Leah’s a good mom because she recognized she needed to make some adjustments in her life, never blamed others for her shortcomings, and worked to be the version of herself,” one person wrote.

Put Them First
Another person replied, “The difference is Leah made the decision to leave her kids with their dads and seek treatment. Her ability to recognize a problem and fix it is what makes her a good mom. I’m not going to call you a bad mom but your decision-making abilities are lacking. Put your kids first.”
