She’s out! After Teen Mom 2 fans and stars called for a response from MTV in the wake of David Eason’s dog killing incident, it seems the show may have finally fired Jenelle Evans. Over the years, the mom-of-three has been involved with plenty of controversies involving the network, including filming issues where her husband prevented the show from shooting due to his presence on set. Now, it seems like the Teen Momfranchise had enough. Scroll through the gallery for details.
In an exclusive statement shared with Us Weeklyon May 7, a spokesperson for the network explained, “MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2 with him since.”

“Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season,” the statement continued.

The End of an Era
Though they didn’t clarify whether they had stopped filming in early April for any particularly reason — or if the decision to oust Jenelle, 27, had been made before her recent scandal — it’s clear she’s no longer part of the series.

Taking a Stand
Fans has been calling for MTV to fire the star even since the news about Nugget, her French bulldog, first broke. “Enough is enough! #MTV needs to FIRE #JenelleEvans if [for] no other reason than to no longer put money into a place that houses her f–k wit of a #husband, David,” wrote one on Twitter.

Sparking Outrage
“Why 👏🏻 do 👏🏻 you 👏🏻 put 👏🏻 up 👏🏻 with 👏🏻 this 👏🏻 s–t 👏🏻, @MTV?” added another. “This is insane. FIRE HER.” But, Jenelle isn’t just in trouble with the show.
Neither Jenelle nor David has spoken publicly about the news just yet. However, if the decision was unofficially made weeks earlier because of filming issues, this may be the first they’re hearing about it.

Reacting to the News
Jenelle’s costar, Briana DeJesus, took to Twitter after the news broke and wrote just one word, “Wow.” One fan fired back at Bri, “There’s a whole lot of people who know a right decision was made and that her kids can now be saved hopefully too.”

Coming to Terms
Teen Mom star Jeremy Calvert also shared his opinion on the matter. He retweeted the initial story and commented, “Reality is hitting NC hard this evening!!!!!”
Rumors at the time hinted that MTV decided to film the two stars together because David had been complicating shoots in North Carolina.

Calling the Cops
Fast forward to now, and viewers have been left in outrage after hearing about Nugget. The shocking incident involving David was first reported on April 30, and it was claimed that a “frantic call” was made to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Department.

Since then, more information surrounding the ordeal has been released. Jenelle later said that she and David are no longer on “talking terms” because of it.

Defending His Actions
Jenelle revealed that divorce was “in her thoughts,” but said no decision has been made yet. Meanwhile, David released a statement defending his choice to shoot Nugget, explaining that this wasn’t the first time the dog snapped at their two-year-old daughter, Ensley.
