He really believes he knows what he’s doing. Sister Wives star Kody Brown live-tweeted during the March 31 episode of the TLC series, which dealt with the Brown family’s move to Flagstaff, Arizona. Several of his kids were clearly unhappy with the move, and fans told the reality TV star off for uprooting his family the way he did. But Kody, 50, thinks he’s got everything under control. “I’ve been doing right by this family, ALL my wives and ALL my children for 30 years. Have some faith in me. #notperfect #SisterWives,” he wrote.

Back in February, Kody brought up the possibility of moving away from Las Vegas with his wives — Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine Brown and Robyn Brown — on the show, and they weren’t exactly excited about the prospect. But he told his wives, “When we go, we go all together.” And that’s exactly what they did — the Brown family is now living in Flagstaff, although they live in separate homes.

Fans took to Kody’s Twitter mentions, and many of them weren’t so sure that the patriarch had his family’s best interests in mind. “[You] sold ‘the dream’ to your wives and kids about being together as a family, the kids finally adjust and gain some traction and [you] up and leave again … with no plan,” one person wrote. Another criticized him by saying, “From what we see, this move is about only you — all of your wives are not on board, a lot of the kids are upset and we were never given a real [reason] to understand why [the] suddenness.”

The truth is, Kody has been slammed by fans before when it comes to how he treats his family members. On February 24, when he was live-tweeting an earlier episode of Sister Wives, he wrote of one of his sons — Gabriel, who was in his junior year at the time of filming and concerned about starting over in a new school — that “Gabriel is being extremely dramatic. I get it! It’s hard to move away from home. There important things at stake here. It is sad. #sisterwives.” One fan snapped at Kody, “Dramatic? No, he’s actually being pretty legit. He can’t help that he has a dad that wants to move all the time.” Another person added, “It doesn’t seem like you are considering your kids’ feelings and coming off as a bit of a dictator. #notingoodway.”

Maybe all that criticism finally got to Kody because he seemed pretty defensive about how he’s doing the right thing for all of his family members in his tweet. We may never know the real reasons the Brown family needed to up and move again, but hopefully, the Brown kids and wives come through it all relatively unscathed despite Kody’s choices.
