Lauren Swanson ‘Can’t Believe’ She and Josiah Duggar Will Welcome Their Baby ‘Before Too Long’
She’ll be here so soon! Lauren Swanson and Josiah Duggar’s shared Instagram account posted a new “bump” photo of Lauren, who is pregnant with their first child after experiencing a miscarriage with her first pregnancy. “Feeling so extremely thankful to carry such a precious gift!” the Counting On wife wrote. “Can’t believe that l will finally get to hold my baby in my arms before too long!” She also included hashtags like “#dreamingofthatmoment” and “#rainbowbaby.”
Counting On fans who follow the Duggar family’s social media accounts likely had an idea that Lauren’s due date was coming up soon because she recently shared photos from her baby shower as well. “So thankful for all the ones that made this day happen and came to shower our sweet baby girl,” she wrote on September 20. “It’s hard to fully express into words just how blessed and loved I felt by so many people giving and loving on our daughter. Everything was so perfect and thoughtful! It will always be a beautiful memory that I will keep in my heart forever💗💗💗.”
Previously, Lauren, 20, shared that this pregnancy hasn’t always gone completely smoothly. On August 10, she shared some pictures of herself showing off her baby bump and wrote, “Life is such a gift and something I cherish more now, with all that we have gone through this past year. This pregnancy hasn’t been easy. I treasure every moment and I am reminded daily that life is truly a miracle from God. #blessed #lifeisagift #donttakelifeforgranted.”
When she alluded to some tough times she and Josiah, 23, faced recently, Lauren may have been referring to the miscarriage they went through together with her first pregnancy. They revealed the news on February 11, via TLC, and Lauren said in a video clip, “A couple months ago, we found out that we were expecting, but suddenly thereafter, we lost our baby.” Josiah added, “It really was a hard time for our family going through this right after we got married. And all the dreams of getting to see our little one and hold it in our hands dashed before our eyes.”
But before long, the couple was expecting again. The reality TV duo shared on May 20 that Lauren was pregnant once more, and told People, “Every good and perfect gift is from above and we are looking forward to this new season of parenting together!” They also posed in front of a sign for the announcement, which read: “Rainbow after the storm. Baby #2.” Since then, Lauren has revealed that she’s due in November, so it really won’t be that long at all until she gets to hold her little one at last.
