It looks like Bear Brown is back from his social media hiatus! On Monday, October 21, the Alaskan Bush People star returned to Instagram with a message of encouragement. Taking a page out of little sister Rain Brown‘s book, he decided to use the photo sharing site to inspire his followers. Over a photo of himself, he posted a quote from Martin Luther King Jr.

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy,” Bear, 32, quoted the civil rights icon. In his own words, he captioned the post, “Always remember!” In the comments, fans thanked the star for the reminder. “Oh, man. I needed to hear this today. Thank you,” wrote one Instagram user. “Yes! Great quote,” added another. “Always be a man of integrity. It will take you far in this life!”

Though the Discovery Channel star didn’t clue fans into what kind of challenge and controversy he’s currently facing, some thought it was a hint that things weren’t all good in his relationship with girlfriend Raiven Adams. The model deleted her Instagram account once again around the same time that Bear took his own break from the app. Though she didn’t leave fans with an explanation, one of the future father’s posts speaks to the trouble they’ve been facing.

“Everybody! Please stop sending Raiven disrespectful messages!” he pleaded with his fans on October 9. “She’s going through enough without naysayers spreading gossip! Raiven is pregnant with my child! We’ve been living in the same house for a while! I don’t need some test to know this little miracle is mine! It is completely 100-percent impossible for it not to be given the time frame! So please remember if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!”

Calling Raiven the “love of his life,” he begged his followers to “show her the respect she deserves.” The mom-to-be has been open about what a struggle it is to deal with all the backlash that comes with being famous, even blaming the haters for her short-lived breakup with Bear. “I think this life is too much for me. The drama, the articles, the harassment. The mean people who have nothing better to do,” she wrote in September. “And due to that, and several other reasons, [Bear and I] have decided to stay friends.”
