Amy Roloff Will 'Always Be Hurt' By Ex-Husband Matt But Has Moved On
Time heals all wounds, right? Little People, Big World star Amy Roloff recently revealed she wasn’t a fixture on the farm during pumpkin season this year. That said, the reality TV matriarch is hardly sweating it.
“I think part of her will always be hurt that Matt [Roloff] betrayed her in a way, but she’s found someone new,” a source told Radar Online. “She’s moved on.”
Back in March, Amy hinted that her now ex and his current girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, were more than friends prior to their split. “We had someone [who] worked for us for a very long time, on our farm,” Amy disclosed at the time. “And I believe — this is all from my perspective — that there was more than just friends going on. And I think that evolved to a point where that got in the way of our marriage as well.” Caryn was the farm’s former manager and reportedly stopped working at the farm last spring, but she even mentioned on the show: “If at any time, Amy asked me to leave, I would give her my blessing.”
Ultimately, Amy filed for divorce in 2015 after nearly three decades of seemingly wedded bliss. (Turns out, they actually weren’t all that compatible). “After 27 years of marriage, it is with great sadness that we have come to the difficult decision to file for divorce. We are proud of what we have accomplished together, including raising our four wonderful children, who have grown to become remarkable adults and building our strong and ongoing successful businesses,” the statement read.
The mother of four — who shares Jeremy, Zach, Molly and Jacob with her ex-husband — got engaged to her longtime love Chris Marek in September. “I’m excited, I’m so surprised, I’m thrilled!” Amy told People at the time. “I never in a million years thought I’d be getting married again, but I also hoped for it! Now that it’s happening, I couldn’t be happier or more excited.”

Luckily, it sounds like there’s no bad blood between the two. In fact, Matt congratulated his former flame on her engagement. “My buddy Ty and I got together for our regular Saturday morning breakfast today,” he wrote on September 21. “He doesn’t do social media … so I filled him in on Amy’s exciting engagement news. Congratulations to Amy and Chris!!”
And while she’s still living on the farm, she won’t be there “for long.” The insider noted, “Amy is in acceptance about transitioning off the farm. She’s really come a long way.”
