Looks like the whole family is chipping in to help Billy Brown feel better! After the Alaskan Bush People patriarch underwent surgery to address some “major medical issues” on Sunday, September 15, he’s recovering with the help of his first grandson, little Elijah Connor BrownBear Brown, who initially revealed his father’s health problems, was the one to give fans an update on Tuesday, September 17. On his private Instagram, he shared a photo of his father laying down in bed as he snuggled up to Noah and Rhain Brown‘s son.

“[He’s] doing better!” Bear, 32, shared with his followers. “With the best kind of medicine! A grandbaby!!!” Fans were quick to chime in with their own well wishes. “That’s truly one of the best forms of medicine,” one agreed. “Sending continuous prayers your way.” Another wrote, “Bless his heart and the little one. How he has grown. Glad dad is doing better. Keep praying.” Others thanked the star for the update.

As it turns out, Billy also has some more ~medicine~ on the way. Bear and his former fiancée, Raiven Adams, are expecting a little one of their own. “Quickly after deciding friendship was best for us, we found out we had a little surprise coming our way,” shared Raiven, 21. “We are super excited and surprised to announce this, especially due to current events. We are excited to coparent as friends and do our best to be the best we can be.”

They’re not alone. Gabe Brown and his new wife, Raquell “Rose” Pantilla, announced in July that they’re expecting, too. “We’re so thrilled to share we’re expecting a new addition to our family this November,” Raquell, 22, and Gabe, 29, shared. “God has blessed us in so many ways and we can’t wait to meet our little one this fall.”

We’re sure Billy and his wife, Ami Brown, are excited to become grandparents once again, but we’d be willing to bet that little sister Rain Brown is the one who’s really counting down the days. When she first met her nephew, Elijah, she announced, “I will never be the same. You have forever changed my heart and I will spend the rest of my life protecting loving and teaching you all I know.” Later, she revealed “being an aunt is [her] favorite thing about [herself].” And when Gabe shared his happy news, she chimed in, “Gabe and Raquell are both adventurous, kind souls. … I know they will be amazing parents.”
