So far, only Bear Brown has opened up about dad Billy Brown‘s medical issues, but his little brother Gabe Brown may have given fans a hint. Just one day before the self-proclaimed King of Extreme shared that the Alaskan Bush People patriarch had undergone surgery for some “major medical issues,” the younger Brown son talked about love on Instagram. On Saturday, September 14, the Discovery Channel star shared a message that could help anyone going through a tough time.

“In the days that follow, remember the feeling of love, and hold it close to your heart,” Gabe, 29, wrote on the social media site. “God is love.” In the comments, fans thanked the star for his moving words and shared messages of well wishes for him and his new wife, Raquell “Rose” Pantilla. A few also inquired about Billy. “Beautiful post. You are a sweet person,” one wrote. “[How] is your father ? 💖🙏” Another added, “I just heard about you dad. I’m sorry. I will pray for your dad and your family. 🙏. God bless you.”

On the 15th, Bear, 32, revealed that their father had gone through surgery the same day that Gabe had opened up to fans. “Hey, everybody! We’ve been going through some major medical issues with my dad,” he revealed. “He got out of surgery yesterday, but it looks like he’s going to be needing more [tests]! Thanks everybody for sticking with my family and for all y’all guys’ support! God bless!” In a video shared with the post, he explained that 66-year-old Billy’s medical needs are the reason the family is currently “still in town.”

In recent episodes of ABP, fans have seen Billy struggling to catch his breath. Though the family left the Alaskan bush and resettled into their North Star Ranch in Washington so that they could be near a hospital in case mom Ami Brown had any additional health scares after her cancer battle, it looks like her husband may be the one currently benefiting most from the move. We’re sending our well wishes to the star as he addresses whatever medical problems he’s been dealing with. Get well soon, Billy!
