She’s going to bat for her fellow reality star. 90 Day Fiancé star Kalani Faagata came to Ashley Martson’s rescue for seemingly lying about the show and her relationship with her husband on social media, and she clearly has no time for the haters. Check out our gallery below to find out exactly how Kalani defended Ashley in an Instagram Story post on April 21.
First, a little backstory. Ashley, 31, admitted on her Instagram Story in April that she isn’t always truthful about what’s going on with her life and with the show.

A fan asked Ashley, “Why do you lie?” and she responded, “‘Cause I get paid to. Y’all are out here doing it for free.” Quite the clap back!

She added, “Either I tell the truth and I’m a terrible person for spoiling the show, or I lie so you have some sort of surprise when the show airs.”

The reality TV star concluded, “It’s apparently a no-win situation.” Sounds like it.

Kalani, 30, who is also a 90 Day Fiancé star and knows exactly what Ashley has to deal with, came to her defense in a lengthy Instagram post that basically told fans to STFU.

“Can everyone please just give Ashley a break?” Kalani began her statement. “I’ve lied to protect my family too, not knowing the damage it’d do to other family members.”

You Don’t Know
She continued, “Until you are on a TV show and know how things work, you cannot unequivocally say what is expected of us.” She’s not wrong!

What’s Best
Kalani added, “We do what we think is best at the time, and sometimes it blows up in our faces.” That’s got to be tough to deal with, in addition to both of these women juggling kids and trying to make their marriages work.

You Don’t Know Her
Kalani went on to implore fans, “I know what’s going on with Ashley and it’s heartbreaking. Please remember that you’ve watched her for a few hours on TV, but you do not know her nor do you know her relationship.”

The reality star added, “She’s an excellent mother. She’s a selfless wife who has thrown herself under the bus multiple times to protect her relationship.” She may be referring to all the back and forth stories about the status of Ashley and Jay Smith’s marriage and life together.

A Reminder
Kalani then reminded fans that Ashley is, like everyone else, “A human being with feelings.”

She continued, “Please think before you type. Being kind is simple and makes everyone feel nice, especially when someone is down.” Since Ashley might be going through a breakup with Jay, 20, there’s a good chance she is indeed feeling “down” at the moment.

Kalani then added, “Writing evil comments for internet likes makes you a magnet for bad karma and just a flat out asshole.” Tell us how you really feel, girl!

Falling Into Place
Then Kalani directed a comment to Ashley herself. “@ashley_90 You’re finally on the right track,” she wrote. “Everything will start falling into place now.”

“Stay Strong”
Kalani also told her fellow 90 Day Fiancé star to “Stay strong,” because “you’ve overcome worst shit than this.” That’s quite the pep talk!

Kalani concluded her message to Ashley, “You’ll conquer this too. Love you, girl!” It’s so sweet that they both seem to have found a friendship thanks to the reality show.
