How much of what we see is even real? 90 Day Fiancé star Ashley Martson admitted on her Instagram Story that she isn’t always truthful about what’s going on with her life and with the show. She had some words for a fan who asked why she “lies” about what’s going on, and honestly, she made a good point about giving the people what they want. Check out the gallery below to learn more.

One minute it seems like Jay, 20, and Ashley are on the rocks. The next, they’re posting cutesy Instagram posts and talking about one another as if everything is fine.

Again and Again
As recently as Monday, April 15, Ashley took to her Instagram Story to expose Jay for allegedly cheating on her for a second time. That doesn’t exactly make it seem like these two are a happy couple, huh?

Final Straw
Insiders exclusively revealed to In Touch that Ashley is ready to file for divorce from Jay — again. “Ashley is indeed filing for divorce after catching Jay cheating yet again. She has reached her breaking point and this is the final straw. She feels like she was an opportunity for him and she is hurt and disgusted,” a source claimed.

Ashely wrote on her Instagram Story, “It’s all fun and games until I get your disgusting cheating ass deported,” before adding a “Bye Felicia” caption and tagging Jay in the image. Yikes.

Faking It
Fans have accused Ashley of lying on social media before. Back in January, some fans suggested that she was faking her struggle with lupus, and she called them out.

She wrote at the time, “Reality TV is a maze. I wish I could tell you all exactly what’s happening, but the contract is strict … Good thing that medical records can’t be faked.” She also shared a peek at her records with her followers.

Did you notice how she implied that she can’t be totally truthful with her followers? Well, Ashley basically claimed the same thing again on her Instagram Story in April.

The reality star continued, “Either I tell the truth and I’m a terrible person for spoiling the show, or I lie so you have some sort of surprise when the show airs.”

“It’s apparently a no-win situation,” Ashley concluded. Having a contract involved, as she previously mentioned, probably makes things a bit more complicated too.

Didn’t Split
It’s hard to tell what this couple is even allowed to be honest about. For instance, Ashley filed for divorce on January 11, 2019, but she and Jay didn’t actually split up. Less than two weeks later, she withdrew the paperwork.

By His Side
Ashley later suggested the whole debacle was fake. “I stayed by his side after the Tinder scandal,” she claimed. “[The show] wanted us to keep everything private and say we weren’t together … We’re over being celebrities. We want to go back to our lives and focus on our relationship.”

What Happened?
Although she later claimed their relationship was “much better,” that may have changed recently. On April 17, Ashley seemed to confirm that she and Jay had broken up while doing another Instagram Q&A.

“Larissa says you’re single,” wrote one fan, referring to fellow 90 Day Fiancé star Larissa Dos Santos Lima. “[Is it] true?” Ashley appeared to reveal that it was, and answered, “We must not go against what the Queen says. I don’t want to die today.”

The Whole Story
However, considering Ashley has admitted that they’ve had to drum up drama about their relationship before, it’s unclear whether that new development is real — or at least, whether fans have the whole story. Ashley did say she feels like she has to lie sometimes, so who knows what’s really going on with her and Jay any more.
