‘Teen Mom 2’ Alum Jenelle Evans and David Eason Remain Childless on Father’s Day Amid Custody Battle

The loss of temporary custody happened just weeks after her husband, David, shot and killed the family’s dog on their property while the children were home back in April.

After that, someone called CPS and expressed concern for the children’s mental wellbeing after witnessing the incident. CPS launched an investigation, and just weeks later, they authorized the children to be removed from Jenelle and David’s care.

Together, Jenelle and David have five children. Jenelle has a 9-year-old son named Jace and a 4-year-old son named Kaiser from previous relationships, and David has an 11-year-old daughter named Maryssa and a 5-year-old son named Kaden from previous relationships. They also share a daughter together, 2-year-old Ensley.

But Jenelle does not have custody of Jace and David does not have custody of Kaden, so only Maryssa, Ensley and Kaiser were removed from the home.

On May 28, a North Carolina judge ruled that Jenelle should lose temporary custody of the children because she “did not do her job as a mother to protect her kids,” according to The Ashley.

Since Jenelle and David lost temporary custody, Ensley went to stay with Jenelle’s mother, Barbara Evans, who also has full custody of Jace. Kaiser has been staying with his father, Jenelle’s ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith, and Maryssa is staying with her maternal grandmother.

While Jenelle seems to be living through every mother’s worst nightmare, a loss of custody isn’t the only consequence that she’s had to deal with in the midst of David’s dog killing incident.

Jenelle was also fired from her hit MTV reality TV series, Teen Mom 2. The network announced they would not longer be filming with Jenelle shortly after his horrific murder of the family’s French bulldog, Nugget.

But even though this entire mess seems to be a direct consequence of the 30-year-old’s actions, Jenelle still fiercely defended David after Investigation Discovery included him in a list of bad dads for a video titled, “5 Dads Who Won’t Be Getting Father of the Year Awards.”

“This channel is false and [a] bunch of BS. You put my husband on the most frightening list when he was PROTECTING HIS CHILD FROM BEING BITTEN BY A DOG IN THE FACE,” she wrote on FacebookOpens a New Window..

“This is absolutely absurd. I’ve been physically beaten by ex’s, slapped in my face, almost died, ran over by a truck from my ex … and NONE OF THIS was while I was in a relationship with David Eason. You have him on a list for SERIAL KILLERS and KIDNAPPERS AND IT’S ALL UNTRUE,” she continued.

“IF YOU WANT A STORY I CAN CERTAINLY GIVE YOU ONE. With pictures and all … BUT THIS …” Jenelle added.

“This is f–king ridiculous. You base my husband being dangerous off of protecting his children? I’ve been through the ringer in life but one thing David has done for my family is being a GREAT FATHER,” she wrote.

“He is the best anyone can ask for. The children adore him,” she added.
