All that dog killing drama may have brought former Teen Mom stars Jenelle Evans and David Eason closer together and made their relationship “stronger,” but the same might not be said for Maryssa, David’s daughter. After the custody battle that saw her returned to the reality stars dictated that she and her siblings will be headed back to school, it seems like the teen just threw a little shade her dad’s way. On Thursday, July 18, Jenelle, 27, revealed that Maryssa is starting seventh grade — and when she grows up, she wants to be a veterinarian. Check out the gallery below to get all the details.
At the very end of April, news broke that David, 31, had allegedly shot and killed Nugget, the family’s French bulldog. Within a day, he seemed to confirm the news in a shocking Instagram post.

Weak Excuse
Fans weren’t buying it, though, instead criticizing the dad for not training his pets or teaching his kids how to behave around animals. Just a week earlier, the family’s other dog had also acted out violently, attacking their chicks.
But was it also the last straw for Maryssa? On July 18, Jenelle celebrated her 11-year-old stepdaughter heading back to school by helping fans get to know her with a chalkboard sign.

Subtle Digs
A third chimed in, “She wants to be a vet so she can save the lives of the dogs her dad keeps killing.” But fans noticed that Maryssa’s dream job wasn’t the only “interesting career choice” mentioned.

Kaiser’s Career
Jenelle’s son Kaiser is also heading off to school so that he can start kindergarten at age 5. But when the Teen Mom 2 star asked him what he wanted to be, he said he’d like to grow up and become a police officer.

Officer Kaiser
“[He] probably wants to be a cop so he can rescue his mommy,” commented a fan. “He can grow up and arrest his stepfather,” joked another. A third agreed, writing that his chalkboard is “so telling.”

Astute Observations
“A cop and a vet lol. Wonder why?” slammed one Instagram user, but another one had the perfect answer. “[These] kids [are] looking for a way to rectify their lives,” they wrote wisely.

In School
Needless to say, others were simply glad to see that the kids would be back in a structured environment: “I am glad [Kaiser] is in a classroom where mandated reporters will see him everyday.”

Smiling
In the meantime, we’re just glad to see Kaiser and Maryssa smiling for once. Hopefully, once they settle in at school, they’ll make plenty of new friends who can keep those smiles on their faces.
