It seems like the drama between 90 Day Fiancéstars Ashley Martsonand Jay Smith is never-ending, but now that mother-of-two says she’s ready to put it all behind her and “walk away.” On May 1, the 33-year-old Pennsylvania native took to Instagram to share that she was leaving behind her soon-to-be ex-husband and the cheating scandals that come with him. And, TBH, it sounds like it’s for the best — because he’s pretty over all of the messiness, too. Check out the gallery below to see what Ashley said and get the latest update on their relationship.
After slamming her husband for heading to the strip club with her money and her car, Ashley declared Jay “cancelled” on April 15. With two weeks, she’d filed for divorce for the second time this year.

Things just got worse.
By April 25, Ashley was calling their split “very dramatic” and “very messed up,” suggesting that the details would shock America and the show’s fans when they found out just what went down after Happily Ever After finished filming.

She kept quiet about just what happened.
At least, she did at first. It wasn’t long before she was spilling even more of the scandal on social media — and even coming after a woman that she accused Jay of cheating on her with.

Ashley went off.
In a since-deleted post on Instagram, the 33-year-old compared a photo of her 19-year-old husband in someone’s backyard to another photo of an unknown woman in the same backyard.

She put them on blast.
In the April 28 post, she called the woman a “homewrecker,” and things got nasty. “When you want to text my phone about stealing my husband but don’t want to expose yourself, make sure I don’t have cop friends that can find out who you are,” she wrote.

It was messy AF.
But Jay denied the accusation that he’d started seeing the woman while he was married. Though a source told In Touch that they had been dating for “months,” he gave his own exclusive statement saying just the opposite.

He said it started after the split.
Calling Ashley’s allegations “a total lie,” he insisted that he and the woman had started talking on April 10 after he and his wife had already broken up. Though he didn’t deny cheating across the board, he specifically debunked this particular allegation.

That wasn’t the only one, though.
Rumors also started circulating that Jay had gotten another woman pregnant while married to Ashley. Though she didn’t confirm or deny the news, she did host an Instagram Q&A and highlight just how many of her fans had already heard that particular piece of gossip.

Jay denies that, too.
On an Instagram Live shared April 27, he claimed that he’s not a “little boy” or “that stupid” that he would knock someone up. By addressing the rumors, he hoped to put the subject to bed — but fans are still talking.

Ashley is done with the drama, though.
Now that she’s done with Jay, she wants to go back to focusing on her family and giving her two kids her full attention. She’s always protected them from the spotlight, and now she doesn’t want them involved in this fallout either.

So she’s going to “walk away.”
On her Instagram Story on May 1, she posted a long message about how she’s ready to move on — but it wasn’t an easy choice to make. “I’m done,” she wrote. “It’s never OK to go around and destroy others. I’m not happy but I’m a mother. I’m not gonna let the hurt and shame I’m feeling set a horrible example for my family.”

She doesn’t want to set a bad example.
“I have already done enough to look like an idiot,” she continued. “I’m not gonna post your disgusting nudes and homemade porns and get myself in trouble over two heartless people. I’m done. I’m just gonna walk away with the absolute zero amount of dignity I have left.”

She’s mourning her relationship.
“I loved him with all of my being, and it was never enough,” she wrote. “I was stupid marrying someone so young and immature. This is my fault. I truly hope neither of you ever have to feel the amount of pain I felt by your actions. Both parties [knowingly] did this, and I hope they can be happy together forever. Everyone deserves happiness.”

It’s time to move forward.
“Have a goodnight everyone,” she finished in a separate post. “Sorry for the drama. When you’re hurt, sometimes you act off of emotions. Looking forward to spending my birthday tomorrow with my daughter chaperoning her school field trip.”

That’s just what she did.
On the morning of May 2, she showed videos and clips of the kids as they got ready to get on the buses, took the long ride for their field trip, ate Lunchables (which she dubbed the “breakfast of champions”), and visited a museum.

She even got a little playful.
Following reports that she’s already seeing someone new, the star posted a photo of a statue from the museum. “I found my new man,” she wrote. “Here he is. No more speculating.” Jokingly, she added, “He’s perfect. He doesn’t even talk back.”

But she is struggling.
Luckily, she’s finding ways to cope with that, too. On her Instagram story, she suggested that anyone going through a tough time can “find something positive and make it your phone background” so that “every time you look at it, you may feel a little better.” For her phone background, she picked a screenshot of her horoscope for the week. The message encouraged her to “start dreaming again” and “pursuing something … meaninful” to “distract” her and “enrich [her] spirit with hope.”

For the record, Jay is over it, too.
“Look, I cannot take the drama,” he wrote on his own Instagram story on May 1. “I don’t want to be a part of it, so please leave me out. There is a lot going on right now, and you guys all can’t judge by what you guys see online.”

Hopefully, they both can move on.
And maybe they’ll each find that “hope” that Ashley’s horoscope was encouraging her to find. It sounds like they both could use it.
