‘90 Day Fiance’ Star Geoffrey Moves On With New Girlfriend Mary After Varya Proposal
Moving on? Geoffrey Paschel explored his romantic connection with his longtime friend Mary on the May 17 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. The reality star felt torn about his love life after Varya Malina denied his proposal, telling him she wasn’t ready to get married “now,” which he saw as a red flag.
“She wasn’t ready,” he said in the confessional, before revealing his dreams of finding someone who is completely committed to their relationship so they can build a future together. “I guess we’re not compatible in that sense,” the TV personality added. “I need to move on with my life and put Varya in the past.”
Geoffrey and Mary dated previously, so they have some “history together” already.
“Mary is a very special person to me. She knows me really well,” he explained about their relationship. “Things didn’t work out in the past. We were not on the same timeline, but I truly feel this time it could be different.”
The TLC alum admitted it will be hard to get over Varya, but he didn’t want to stay with someone who is “iffy” about being with him.
When he went out to dinner with Mary, he showed up with flowers. “I know that Geoffrey proposed in Russia, but as soon as he got back, we started hanging out,” Mary said, revealing how they developed feelings again. “This has been some years in the making, this isn’t overnight. So I’m excited. I just want to make sure he’s as in as I am.”
After seeing how things unfolded with Varya, Geoffrey couldn’t help but think his newly formed bond with Mary was a sign. “I didn’t need to go all the way to Russia to find love,” he said. “Maybe Mary is my life partner.”
In a shocking turn of events, Varya got off a plane at Knoxville, Tennessee. “Surprise!” she said in her confessional. “My tourist visa got approved and I wanted to do a surprise for Geoffrey. I want to get him back, but he’s not responding to my messages. So I didn’t tell him that I’m coming,” the season 4 star dished.
“This is my first time visiting the U.S. and I’m planning to be here for two weeks. I still have feelings for Geoffrey and I have a purpose to prove that my intentions are serious.”
When Varya arrived at his doorstep, he was totally astonished to see her. Inside, Mary could be heard asking, “What’s going on?”
