A fresh start! 90 Day Fiancé star Fernanda Flores proudly revealed that she’s officially got a new man after her public split with estranged husband, Jonathan Rivera. The TLC alum gave an update about her love life during a recent interview, confessing how she’s “very happy” with how their relationship is evolving. It’s been a long road! Fernanda rose to fame while documenting her love story with former flame, Jonathan, on the hit show 90 Day Fiancé. The two first met back in 2016 at a club in Mexico.

Fernanda and Jonathan eventually got married and they tried to build a life together in North Carolina. Even though they both cared for each other, it didn’t take long for their relationship to start unraveling.

Calling It Quits

Cameras captured their every move while filming for the TLC series, which showed some of their struggles as a couple. In January 2019, Jonathan confirmed they were separating to In Touch.

Amicable Exes?

“My feelings for Fernanda were real and Fernanda’s feelings for me were real. Fernanda’s not a gold digger. Fernanda didn’t come here for a green card,” Jonathan said at the time.

“What happened was things change, things change and people change and I can’t help that,” the real estate agent continued.

Fernanda later broke her silence in a candid and explosive YouTube video called “My Truth” on June 20. After opening up about their trials and tribulations, she said they were in the process of getting a divorce.

Around that time, Jonathan went public with his new girlfriend. “All I need in this life of sin,” he captioned a photo of them enjoying the Cayman Islands together.

Now, it’s been revealed that Fernanda is moving on romantically as well! In a recent interview, Fernanda confirmed that she’s also dating someone new while chatting with AfterBuzz TV about her post-split life.

Just last week, Jonathan spoke with ABTV and he “firmly denied ever being abusive to [Fernanda] in any way.”

The TLC alum said he wanted to share a statement on the matter after she “referred to their union as an abusive relationship” in a recent advertisement for an upcoming women’s empowerment event.

However, Fernanda later fired back at her ex. “The statements made by Jonathan are untrue and not based on the facts and circumstances of the relationship I had to endure with him,” she replied.

The Next Chapter

“Since the show aired, I have tried to maintain my privacy about the events that have given rise to the pending divorce in Chicago where my lawyers are representing me. They are helping me try to settle the divorce as quickly as possible so I can move on with my life,” she continued.

Past Hardships

The reality star also insisted that she’s speaking at the event for a specific purpose. “I want to share my story; my childhood and growing up in Mexico with my family,” Fernanda began. “How my move to the states was a culture shock and effected my physical and mental health with all of the hurdles I had to overcome.”

Hoping to Help

“I want my story to empower women and let women know that we’re not alone and staying true to yourself can get you as far as you want,” she continued.

Not Looking Back

“Moving forward my life is 100 percent focused on me and following my dreams and does not have anything to do with him,” Fernanda concluded. “I wish him the best but he needs to do him and I am doing me.”
