She’s speaking her truth. Fernanda Flores from 90 Day Fiancé posted a video on her YouTube channel where she answered fan questions, and she specifically addressed why she decided to quit filming for the franchise. The reality TV star claimed that she got nothing from the show in the form of financial compensation, which seems legitimately unfair. Check out exactly what she said about her decision in the gallery below.
After Fernanda, 20, and Jonathan Rivera, her ex, met in Mexico when she was just 17 years old, it seemed like love at first sight. Jonathan, 32, proposed to her after three months of dating. But their happily ever after was not to be.

Everything
Jonathan confirmed to In Touch exclusively in January that he and Fernanda had called it quits. “I gave it everything I had,” he said. “I think that was very apparent in the show.”

Not Enough
“None of that was edited, that was my heartfelt feelings,” Jonathan continued. “You know you can only give so much until you start giving yourself away … What I’m saying is, I guess there was a point where I realized it was never going to be enough.”

Less
But as it turns out, it’s Fernanda who might have gotten a lot less out of the experience than Jonathan — at least, in the form of a paycheck from TLC.

Why?
During a fan Q&A session, Fernanda responded to someone who asked her, “Why didn’t you go you go on the show to say your truth?” And her answer might shock fans of the series.

Reaching Out
“The producers reached out to me when we separated, the same as they did to him. He answered them, he talked to them, he filmed with them,” Fernanda revealed about her ex. “I didn’t.”

Zero
“The reason why I didn’t is, I got zero from the show. I got no money from it. He did. And I thought that was really, really unfair,” she revealed.

No Money
Fernanda added, “I came here without money. And I had to get help from my family.”

No Help
The reality star added, “Also, the producers never cared about me or my situation. Never helped me out.” Yikes.

Fernanda also claimed that the only thing the producers of 90 Day Fiancé wanted to do was “create more content and create more stuff to entertain people and make more money off me.”

Drama
“And I would get zero, and I would get just problems,” Fernanda continued. “And I would get just bad things.” We can see why she might want to avoid that sort of drama.

Choice
“So the first reason I didn’t is because I didn’t want to be part of that anymore,” she added. Hey, it’s her choice, right?
She answers this specific question around the six-minute mark in the video here.

Go Your Own Way
TBH, we figure if Fernanda wants to talk about what happened, she can just continue to do so on her YouTube channel instead of on TV. That way, she can control what’s edited out and what isn’t, right?

The Other Side?
However, it does sound like we’ll be hearing a bit more of Jonathan’s side of the story in the near future. That is, if TLC decides to show an update on the 90 Day alum in future episodes.
