Coming clean. Fernanda Flores opened up about her split with estranged husband, Jonathan Rivera, in a new Q&A video, and she revealed that her parents were “really upset” after hearing about everything that transpired between them. The 90 Day Fiancé alum said her loved ones were surprised their relationship had taken a turn for the worse, especially because she wasn’t sharing all of the details with them at the time. Fernanda also said that she was “in a really abusive relationship,” however Jonathan later denied her claims.

In her new Q&A video, the reality star revealed how her parents reacted when they found out was going on with her and Jonathan. “They were really upset and shocked,” Fernanda began.

“I [made] them believe everything was great, and we were so happy, then we were doing this show, then we were traveling and having fun. And everything was OK, when behind the doors was a totally different thing,” she explained.

Fizzled Romance

Fernanda said she didn’t want to “hurt” her parents or have them worry about her. “I didn’t want them to feel bad because of me,” the TLC alum continued.

Heartbreak Pains

While holding back tears, Fernanda said the part that caused her the most pain was that her family accepted him, noting how her grandma had their wedding pictures on her wall at home.

During the video, Fernanda also mentioned how she’s happy to be helping others going through tough times. “Don’t say thank you. I’m doing it from my heart,” the reality star said.

Fernanda wasn’t afraid to keep it real when one of her fans asked her point-blank, “Why didn’t you go you go on the show to say your truth?”

“The producers reached out to me when we separated, the same as they did to him. He answered them, he talked to them, he filmed with them,” Fernanda explained. “I didn’t.”

Sharing Her Thoughts

“The reason why I didn’t is, I got zero from the show. I got no money from it. He did. And I thought that was really, really unfair,” the reality star dished.

Former Flames

Back in January 2019, Jonathan confirmed his separation with Fernanda during an interview with In Touch. The TLC star said that he wishes Fernanda nothing but the best going forward.

Jonathan has since gone public with a new girlfriend, and they appear to be very happy with each other. Meanwhile, Fernanda is currently embracing her single life in Chicago.
