She’s sharing her side of the story. 90 Day Fiancé star Fernanda Flores opened up about her tumultuous split with estranged husband, Jonathan Rivera, in an emotional and explosive new YouTube video called “My Truth” posted on June 20. The TLC alum is finally shedding light on what allegedly happened between them six months after their dramatic breakup. From cheating allegations to abuse claims and more, she leaves no stone unturned in her candid 44-minute video. Scroll through the gallery to get all of the shocking details.

Fernanda, 20, said that she’s finally ready to share her side of the story six months after their split, noting how she’s been concentrating on her health and well-being. The reality star started from the beginning, addressing how they met in Mexico in August 2016. They crossed paths at a club and instantly hit it off, and soon wanted to move forward with their relationship.

Romance Heating Up

A few months later, Jonathan, 32, asked Fernanda to be his date for his mom’s wedding, and she jumped at the opportunity to see him and spend time with his family. However, she needed her dad’s assistance in order to make it happen. Unfortunately, her dad was going through a divorce and his wife was suing him for child support, so he couldn’t be her sponsor.

The next time he came back to Mexico, Jonathan asked for her hand in marriage. Even though she got a K1 visa approval, Fernanda claimed that Jonathan said he had another idea, mentioning how he spoke to a producer who was interested in filming their story on 90 Day Fiancé.

Making It Work

Fernanda had some reservations, but decided to go through with it because Jonathan said they could live in North Carolina for a year, and save enough money to move to Chicago — which sounded like a good plan to her. From the moment she arrived, cameras were there filming her every move.

Cause for Concern

When she checked out their new home together, she found another woman’s underwear (which fans saw during the show). Fernanda still tried to keep her cool since she didn’t want to create drama for TV. “That same week, I found a lot of stuff, not just underwear. Sex toys, pictures, movies,” she claimed, adding how she wanted him to give that up now that he was in a monogamous relationship.

After spending more time together, Fernanda said she realized that he had different priorities than expected. “He likes to drink way too much,” she alleged. “He did not have my best interests in mind.” The reality star said Jonathan wasn’t good with money and wasn’t open to making a budget that worked for them both.

Trying to Make Changes

Fernanda even addressed how she barely spoke English at the time, so she went to community college to learn, but allegedly couldn’t finish because Jon was too busy. The TLC alum claimed there was no Uber or taxi service to rely on while he was away. She soon turned to the gym as a form of “therapy.”

As fans may recall, the pair married in Chicago. Fernanda said this is where things went from “bad to worse.” The reality star alleges that she only had money if he transferred funds to her account and their relationship allegedly became “abusive.”

Losing Her Independence

“He would just drink or smoke” to avoid dealing with their issues, Fernanda claimed. She relied on a man for everything, and it destroyed her confidence. One of the friends she met at the gym helped console her during this very dark point in her life — Fernanda even considered suicide. Fernanda lost her motivation for life and had feelings of sadness all of the time.

Shocking Allegations

The 20-year-old said the mental abuse soon turned to verbal abuse. Fernanda also alleged that Jonathan put his hands on her a couple of times. During one instance, she claimed they were out with friends and a fellow Spanish speaker was chatting with her for a few minutes, allegedly making Jonathan very upset. Fernanda claimed Jon called her a “bitch.”

Fernanda said Jonathan was “drunk and high and I don’t know what else.” Afterwards, Jonathan allegedly wanted to leave right away and made her get into the car with him. “I was afraid for my life,” she claimed, noting how she begged to drive since he had been drinking. Fernanda said that he acted like nothing happened the next day.

Breaking Point

Even though she was miserable, Fernanda revealed that she didn’t want to open up about her struggles because she knew people would tell her to leave him and she was still trying to save her marriage. All hell broke loose when she allegedly found a condom wrapper with no condom. “I flipped out,” she said. Jonathan allegedly grabbed her from the neck and pushed her to the wall, claiming it wasn’t his and that she was “crazy.”

Turmoil Continues

When she was finally ready to leave to Houston to be with family, Fernanda said that her phone was reported as stolen, and her card was cancelled, so she had no money. She believes this was his method to “control” her. Around that time, Fernanda found out she had anemia, so her loved ones were very concerned.

Feelings of Anguish

Despite everything that transpired between Fernanda and Jonathan, she gave a last ditch attempt to save their relationship by seeing a therapist. The reality star claimed Jon never called the therapist even though he said he would. At the time he was “talking to a lot of other girls,” Fernanda said. She apparently saw the “sexual conversations” they were having while she was struggling with her mental health.

Moving On

After two weeks of being in Houston, she decided to fly to Chicago to meet Jonathan face-to-face and he apparently told her that he “wasn’t ready” to be married. Fast forward to now, and they are in the process of getting a divorce. Fernanda said this will be the last time she talks about her experience, as she’s focusing on chasing her dreams and believing in herself. “I wanna move forward,” she concluded.
