Jon Gosselin Says Kate
“Treats Kids Like
Garbage”; Explains Why
He’s Fighting For
In an explosive new interview with In Touch Weekly, Jon Gosselin reveals his plans to sue Kate for custody of their sextuplets and exactly why he feels it’s necessary to get his young kids far away from her.
“When they visit, they don’t want to leave,” Jon tells In Touch about his younger kids.
Jon explains that it’s no longer just Kate who makes the kids miserable at home, Kate has turned the twins into mini-me enforcers with full rein to discipline the younger ones. “They get rewarded with special treatment,” Jon says of Mady and Cara. “She’s trained them to mirror her.”
“When they break her rules, they tell me she still spanks them — and she does it in front of the others to scare them into behaving,” Jon explains. “When I punish them, I usually take something away, like an iPod. I don’t spank them because it doesn’t work! I also hold them and talk to them.”
Other punishments include grueling chores — like collecting weeds for her inspection. “Alexis doesn’t know the difference between poison ivy and weeds, so she had poison ivy all summer long,” he says. “She was sweating and itchy ... It was disgusting, poor kid.”
“Kate treats people like garbage, she treats her kids like garbage,” Jon tells In Touch. “She needs a reality check.”
