Shortly after Jessica Simpson's bizarre red carpet chat with 'Extra,' her family reportedly staged an intervention because they were concerned with the 34-year-old's alleged alcohol and Adderall use.
But a source tells 'In Touch' their plan failed miserably — and she's even threatening to drop her family financially if they don't stop!
“Jess is in complete denial right now. Instead of listening to their warnings, she’s made it clear that if anyone mentions her ‘problem’ again, they’ll be cut off,” the source says.

“No one knows what to do because they want her to get help but they need her. So for now, everyone is walking on pins and needles.”
We learned last week of the alleged intervention, where Jessica stormed out of dinner.

“The family dinner started off as a nice conversation about how she should maybe cut back on her workouts and dieting, but it turned into a heated fight,” an insider revealed to ‘In Touch.’
“[Sister] Ashlee really called her out and told her she needed to get help, but Jessica freaked and ran out in tears. Now everyone’s on pins and needles about what to do.”
