‘Welcome to Plathville’ Star Micah Goes Instagram Official With New Girlfriend Lexi
Off the market! Welcome to Plathville star Micah Plath went Instagram official with his new girlfriend, Lexi Marie, on Saturday, May 16. The 18-year-old heartthrob is clearly smitten over his ladylove.
“Life has been amazing with this girl! Can’t believe God put you in my life!” the hunk wrote on a photo with his arms around the blonde beauty. “Love you so much!!!” he added with a red heart emoji.
Judging from social media, Lexi Marie is a bubbly blonde who enjoys the slow pace of the south. Since the photos on Micah’s Instagram are geotagged in Nashville, and Micah revealed he was in the city visiting his “girl,” it seems like Lexi is from Music City. It also appears his sister Moriah Plath approves of their relationship. She follows Lexi on Instagram and even commented on Micah’s thoughtful post. “Love both of y’all,” the 17-year-old wrote. It’s unclear how long the two have been together, but they definitely appear to be in the honeymoon phase.
Although Micah’s hit TLC show wrapped in December 2019 after only six episodes, the series definitely left an impact and had viewers asking for more of the Plaths … and Micah’s abs! Welcome to Plathville highlighted his family’s life on their farm in Georgia and their traditional religious beliefs. Micah’s storyline documented his foray into the fashion industry as he followed his dreams of becoming a model. He quickly became a heartthrob and left many viewers swooning —some of his fans were sad to learn that the hunk is no longer single.
“Hearts are breaking all over America [tired emoji] [red heart emoji],” one fan commented. A second chimed in, adding, “My heart is broken but I am so happy for you! beautiful couple.”
Since the show came to an end, TLC has yet to announce a second season. One day after the season finale aired, Micah expressed interest in filming some more episodes. “Y’all let’s hope for another season!! I have grown and matured since this last one! I’m just becoming the true Micah!” he wrote via Instagram on December 11, 2019.
Although he is interested, the network’s plans are still up in the air. In January, when fans asked if he will be back on TLC, he replied, “We’re not sure yet.”
While Micah would like the opportunity to continue sharing his journey, Moriah isn’t sold on the idea of another season. “This past season was a crazy time in our lives, but I just hope that every step we take will lead us closer to who we are meant to be,” she wrote on Instagram following the finale of their show. “And a very special thank you to all our fans! … y’all deserve one,” she wrote with a red heart emoji.
Micah’s sister-in-law, Olivia Plath, who is married to his brother Ethan Plath, is definitely is uneasy about the possibility of season 2. Olivia received backlash for disagreeing with her in-law’s beliefs and seemingly going against their wishes by taking Moriah on a trip to Minnesota. “I’ve received so much hate on all of my platforms since our show aired, and while I know that is just part of being in this industry, I don’t need to be seeing that negativity and toxicity every day,” Olivia, 21, previously said on social media.
Despite the drama that comes with life on the small screen, we would love to watch Micah’s new romance play out on TLC.
