Nipsey Hussle’s Sister Speaks Out After Rapper’s Untimely Death: ‘You Are My Superhero’
After Nipsey Hussle passed away on Sunday, March 31, his loved ones are finally speaking out about his tragic death. On Tuesday, April 2, his sister, Samantha Smith, paid tribute to the late rapper on Instagram.
“You are my heart. You are my strength, my wisdom, my joy, my balance,” she captioned a photo of herself with Nipsey on social media. “You are my superhero. Invincible to me. I feel so safe with you. I feel so covered and protected. Imperfections do not exist with you because you are flawless. I need you. I need you, please. Let me hold you again. You are my baby. To the world you are the strongest man and to me, you are the most vulnerable innocent child.”
She added, “Your heart is pure. They don’t know you like we know. Your love is expansive. Talk to me again. You’ve taught me so much. You hold me down through everything.”
Samantha revealed that she would take care of his girlfriend of five years, Lauren London, his two kids, Emani and Kross, and their brother, Sam. “I got Lauren. I got Emani. I got Kross. I got Sam, he is my responsibility now,” she said. “He is my big little brother. I got mommy and Granny and Pop. You gave me so many tools.”
The brunette beauty concluded the lengthy post by saying she will always honor her brother. “You gave me so much insight. We will talk every second of every day and I am here to carry out your vision,” the message read. “Ermias God Will Rise. I love you forever, and I will cry forever. You are my lifeline as long as I am here, you are too.”
Lauren, 34, also broke her silence about the love of her life earlier that same day. “I am completely lost. I’ve lost my best friend. My sanctuary, my protector, my soul,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m lost without you. We are lost without you, babe. I have no words.”
The “Racks In The Middle” crooner died after he was shot at Marathon Clothing Store in Los Angeles. The Grammy nominee was only 33 years old at the time of his death. Less than 48 hours after the fatal incident, the police located the suspect, 29-year-old Eric Holder, and he was brought into custody by police on April 2.
We are thinking of Nipsey’s friends and family during this tough time.
