Any guesses who she’s talking about? Kate Gosselin shared a photo of her oldest daughters, Mady and Cara, on Instagram and included a shady message as the caption. “I love these kids fiercely … and I don’t apologize for my tears. Times have been so tough and so needlessly unfair for them,” she wrote on October 1. “Despite it all, they’ve turned out to be such wonderful amazing human beings. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for each of them once they get away from those who have tried to destroy them versus protect them!”

It’s possible that last comment was about her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin. He recently came out and made some pretty scary claims about how his ex treats their kids. Plus, on the Tuesday, October 1, episode of Kate Plus 8, Kate, 44, and several of the kids went on a college tour trip for the older girls, and the reality TV mom noted that her daughter Hannah wasn’t there because she was with Jon, 42, instead. Could there be lingering resentment there?

Two of Kate’s kids — Hannah, 15, and Collin Gosselin — currently live with their dad. A source told Life & Style. in September 2018, “Kate is trying to be supportive of the situation, but the truth is, she hates that Hannah chose Jon over her. The problem is that the kids are getting older and they’re starting to ask questions. Some are still Team Mom, but Team Dad is growing. It’s a very divided household.” Kate’s supportive but shady message could mean that her oldest kids are Team Mom.

Speaking of Team Dad, Jon accused his ex-wife of “mentally torturing” their kids in an interview with DailyMailTV in September, and we’re wondering if Kate’s comment about someone trying to “destroy” her kids has anything to do with his claims. “I know my children have suffered abuse and I know one day they’re going to tell their own story,” Jon said in the interview. We can see how that might ruffle the former Jon and Kate Plus 8 mom’s feathers a little.

Do you think Kate’s Instagram caption was directed at anyone in particular, or is she just emotional about her oldest kids heading off to college?
