The drama continues for Jon and Kate Gosselin. The famous parents — who once starred on TLC‘s hit show Jon & Kate Plus 8 — have arguably had one of the nastiest separations of all time. The estranged exes’ decade-long custody battle recently took a turn for the worse when Hannah, 14, decided to move in with her father. Now, Kate is devastated.

A source told Life & Style, “Kate is trying to be supportive of the situation, but the truth is, she hates that Hannah chose Jon over her,” they said. “The problem is that the kids are getting older and they’re starting to ask questions. Some are still Team Mom, but Team Dad is growing. It’s a very divided household.”

After 10 years of marriage and eight children, Jon, 41, and Kate, 43, finalized their divorce in 2009. But the former reality TV parents are still duking it out in court. “It’s never going to end,” the concerned source dished. “Even now, after all these years, Jon’s still trying to show the world that Kate’s the furthest thing from a great mom.”

Most recently, it was revealed that Kate had actually filed an appeal in the case. According to court docs obtained by Radar Online, a judge filed a custody order on April 5, 2018, which apparently threw Kate for a loop — because she fought the ruling for months.

In May, she filed a motion for reconsideration, asking the judge to change his decision. In June, however, the appeal was shut down because Kate reportedly “did not present legal argument to justify this Court’s jurisdiction,” with the judge adding that she filed it too late. “This Court has no jurisdiction to excuse the failure to file a timely notice of appeal.”

Here’s to hoping it’s not another 10 years before these two can come to some sort of truce for the sake of their kids.
