Kaitlynn Carter Cheers on Witney Carson at ‘DWTS’ Following Miley Cyrus Split
What breakup? Kaitlynn Carter cheered on her friend Witney Carson during a taping of Dancing With the Stars on Monday, September 23 — just two days after news broke that she split from Miley Cyrus after one month of dating.
The 31-year-old uploaded several videos of her outing via her Instagram Stories. “We’re going to watch Witney perform on Dancing With the Stars. Our little star,” she said while she was in the car with a friend. She also captioned the clip, “See ya soon. @witneycarson!!!! @dancingabc.” The Hills: New Beginnings starlet seemed like she was having a great time during the live taping since she posted a video of herself dancing around with two of her friends after the show ended. “LOL,” she wrote.
The 26-year-old pop star and the blogger both broke up with their former husbands this past summer — Liam Hemsworth and Brody Jenner, respectively. The blonde beauties were first linked last month during their Italian getaway where they were spotted canoodling and making out. A source previously confirmed to In Touch that the former flames had “been friends for a while.” Naturally, they bonded over their mutual heartbreak.
The “Malibu” crooner and Kaitlynn frequently hung out in Los Angeles and New York City, but apparently, the timing just wasn’t right. “As far as I know nothing traumatic occurred,” an insider told In Touch exclusively. “There was no huge blow up or a third party that got between them. Miley is busy doing stuff, and she’s got a lot on her plate. Their romance didn’t fizzle out, it just ran its course. That’s it.”
The source added, “Miley’s fling with Kaitlynn was just what the doctor ordered after her breakup from Liam. Miley doesn’t burn bridges. They had a blast together and are going to remain friends.”
While Kaitlynn has been keeping herself busy in Los Angeles, Miley attended and performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday, September 21. The Grammy nominee wore a black leather halter top with black leather pants as she belted out her hit songs including “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball.”
The New Hampshire native wasn’t afraid to show some love for her ex on Instagram following their breakup. “VEGA$ #iheartfestival2019,” the Disney alum captioned a photo of herself on stage. “GET IT!!!!” Kaitlynn wrote.
