Spencer Pratt Calls Out Kaitlynn for Complaining About Open Marriage Gossip: ‘She Had a Thing Going With Miley’

He’s spilling the tea. Spencer Pratt claims that Kaitlynn Carter seemed to have “something going on” with Miley Cyrus while filming The Hills: New Beginnings. The reality star shared his thoughts about their relationship during a new recap he did for last night’s episode, noting how there seemed to be an “emotional” connection between the ladies. Spencer even called out Kaitlynn for complaining that fans are gossiping about her “open relationship with Brody [Jenner].”

“It’s tough for me to listen to Kaitlynn complain about people talking about her allegedly open relationship with Brody when we know she had a thing going with Miley,” Spencer, 36, told Cosmopolitan on Monday, September 2. “She already had something going on with [Miley] when these scenes were filming — maybe not physically, but definitely emotionally.”

“No one’s judging you for whatever it is you and Brody do when he’s not sleeping in his car,” he added. “We just don’t want people to lie about their lives.”

As viewers may recall, Kaitlynn, 30, addressed those open relationship rumors involving her then-husband during the latest episode of the hit MTV show. After Brody, 36, candidly discussed his “unconventional” marriage on a podcast, the blonde beauty brought up the topic with her pals Ashley Wahler and Whitney Port. “I’m hearing people are talking about me and Brody and our personal life, saying we have an open relationship,” she said.

“When Brody and I first were together, we were younger, we were crazy. We were, like, you know, basically just trying to have the time of our lives,” Kaitlynn said in her confessional. “So, we did a lot of things in our relationship that, you know, I certainly wouldn’t say I regret, but the level of gossip that I feel happens in the group — it just makes me angry,” she explained.

Meanwhile, Miley and Kaitlynn have reportedly bonded amid their recent splits. Brody and Kaitlynn called it quits in August 2019, and so did Miley, 26, and her ex, Liam Hemsworth.
