Miley Cyrus Performs and Parties at iHeartRadio Music Festival After Kaitlynn Carter Split
She can’t be tamed! Miley Cyrus partied it up in Las Vegas with her mom, Tish Cyrus, and her sister Brandi Cyrus after her recent split from Kaitlynn Carter. The pop star not only rocked the stage during her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday, September 21, but she rocked out in the crowd with her family during legendary band Def Leppard’s performance, too.
Miley, 26, gave off major edgy rocker vibes in a bondage-esque black leather halter top paired with black leather pants. The singer gave her all onstage and performed her hit songs “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball.” She also sang her recent hit, “Slide Away,” which many fans believe is about her recent split from husband Liam Hemsworth. She also played a few covers of her favorite rock songs, like Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog” and Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb.”
But she also enjoyed the festival from the crowd as a fan. The former Disney star shared a cute video selfie of her and her mama singing along as Def Leppard performed their 1987 hit, “Pour Some Sugar On Me” on Instagram.
“On the way to school, cheerleading practice, singing lessons, dance … mama made me listen to @defleppard. I’m glad AF that she did. Taught me what kicking ass really means!” Miley captioned the cute mommy-daughter moment. “Feeling honored to be Fem out here rockin w [sic] the big dudes. Stoked to have shared the same stage with the legends themselves! We talked about doing some shows together! F–k yes! Let’s do it!”
It looks like Miley was feeling the vibes on Saturday night, just hours after In Touch confirmed her split from her girlfriend, The Hills: New Beginnings star Kaitlynn. The two were first linked last month during a vacation in Italy with Miley’s 32-year-old sister, Brandi. Kaitlynn, 31, and Miley packed on the PDA in kissing photos on August 10 — the same day Miley’s split from Liam, 29, was confirmed and one week after Kaitlynn’s split from her ex-husband, Hills star Brody Jenner, was announced.
Since then, Miley and Kaitlynn’s relationship heated up but it seems like it fizzled out just as quickly as it started. But there doesn’t seem to be any hard feelings between the two. Kaitlynn took to Miley’s Instagram to share a supportive commented under one of the photos she posted from her iHeartRadio Festival performance. “GET IT!!!!!” Kaitlynn wrote.
