On August 6, the happy couple shared a rare photo from a romantic boating trip with their followers. “My favorite place to be is with you!!!” the parents captioned their PDA-filled selfies. “Thanks to [Jana Duggar] for babysitting so we could sneak away for a few hours!”

John and Abbie were thrilled to start a family after welcoming their daughter, Grace, in January 2020. “Our lives have changed forever with the arrival of our baby girl,” the parents told Us Weekly following her birth. “She is a beautiful gift from God. We are so blessed the Lord has given her to us. It’s still surreal to know that we are really parents, but it’s a great new adventure that we are excited to take on together.”

With a new baby around, the pair is super thankful to have the help of John’s twin. When Grace was just 1 month old, Jana stopped by to look after the little girl and shared an adorable photo from their time together on Instagram. “Her parents think I come over to hang out with them,” she joked in her caption.

Jana is definitely the family of three’s biggest cheerleader. “It’s crazy to think John is at this point in his life because, for the longest time, I was like, ‘OK, is he ever going to, you know, get married?’” she said during an episode of their hit TLC show. “And now he’s at this point, and she’s just, I think, perfect for him. … They complete each other.”

The brunette beauty isn’t the only Duggar sibling who ships her brother’s relationship. Joy-Anna Forsyth (née Duggar) revealed she shed a few tears when she first met her sister-in-law. “When John walked in with Abbie, we were all there, and, yeah, he was like, ‘Hey guys, this is my girlfriend!’ And I literally started crying because I was like, ‘You’re kidding me. Is this a joke or is this real?” Joy told cameras. “And then I was like, ‘John wouldn’t do this for just a joke.’ I was really shocked.”

John David and Abbie celebrated three years of wedded bliss on November 6, just a few days after sharing stunning photos captured during their intimate nuptials in First Baptist Church in Oklahoma on November 3, 2018. “It was a HAPPY anniversary!” the couple gushed in a caption.

In May 2022, the couple announced that they’re expecting baby No. 2. “To the little girl who calls me mommy, and our little boy due in late summer, I’ll love you forever!” Abbie captioned an Instagram photo on the couple’s joint account, which captured her showing off her baby bump while holding hands with Grace.
