Fans were first introduced to Abbie Grace Burnett when John David Duggar annnounced they had started courting back in June 2018. But how well do you really know the Counting On star? Luckily, here at In Touch, we did some digging for you. Keep scrolling to learn all about the latest Duggar bride.

Abbie met John a long time ago.

The couple told Us Weekly that they’ve actually known each other for “several years.” However, the two only recently got to know each other more when JD flew to Oklahoma for a church event. “We really got connected then,” Abbie said — and they hit it off pretty quickly. After a short courtship, the two tied the knot in November 2018.

She’s from Oklahoma.

The Sooner State! Unlike John David, who grew up in Tontitown, Arkansas, Abbie lives in the neighboring state. Unsurprisingly for the conservative family, church was what brought them together and has helped them bond ever since.

She comes from a big family.

Like a lot of other Duggar spouses, Abbie also has a lot of siblings — seven to be exact. Firmly in the middle of the pack, Abbie has two older brothers (John-Clay and Caleb), one older sister (Hannah), three younger sisters (Charity, Maggie, and Carinna) and one younger brother (Benjamin). She’s also got a lot of nieces and nephews. Not counting the ones she got by marrying John, she’s an aunt to six little ones.

Michelle and Jim Bob are big fans.

Back when she and John first became a couple, the matriarch and patriarch of the Duggar clan wrote on their blog, “John David brings our hearts so much joy, and we’ve watched him faithfully pray, wait, and trust God for the right girl to come along!” They added, “Now, a beautiful relationship has blossomed between [him and Abbie]. We can’t wait to see what the Lord will do in the future.”

Of course, the two seemingly hinted that their second eldest son — who turned 29 in January 2019 — took a long time to find his soulmate. At least in Duggar years. His twin sister, Jana, has long been teased for not finding Mr. Right, especially since she’s the oldest of the Duggar girls. Don’t worry, Jan! Maybe Abbie has some hot, single, Godly friends?

She was a nurse.

Though the star is still a licensed practical nurse, a.k.a. an LPN, she opened up in an episode of Counting On about deciding to quit her job. Though she may decide to go back to work again in the future, Abbie is focusing on being the best wife she can be and enjoying time with her husband for now. Heck, maybe they’ll even be starting a family before we know it.
