While taking to Facebook on November 19, the former TM2 star shared a new statement that revealed he was taking his split from Jenelle with stride. 

New Beginnings

“Glad [you] people think I am taking this so hard,” he began. “Just so [you] all know, I am so very much happier and so is [my daughter] Maryssa. Finally peaceful,” David continued.

Reactions Revealed

To no surprise, several fans were sounding off about his post in the comments. Some were supportive and others wanted some more clarification.

Family First

“That’s great,” one wrote. “That is all that matters is that you and your beautiful daughter are happy. It’s not worth being unhappy. I hope that everything works out for you and her.”

Finding Happiness

“Now maybe you can have a relationship with your family again your mom and sister and get your life together,” a second chimed in. “This relationship was toxic from the beginning I’m happy your happy as I’m sure Jenelle is as well.”

In His Feelings?

A third mentioned how David “wouldn’t be human” if he felt nothing after their breakup. The commenter added, “Y’all had a relationship and a family. It seemed toxic, but I wasn’t there so I cant say here nor there. But all that matters is that the kids are happy and safe.”

Speaking Out

David replied to that comment and explained how he was bothered, but not heartbroken about the ordeal. “I’ve realized I wasn’t in love and there are much better people out there for me,” he wrote.

As fans may recall, there’s been no shortage of drama involving the exes in recent weeks, especially after they parted ways.

Jenelle recently obtained a temporary restraining order against David which prevents him from contacting her or posting about her on the internet, according to a report.

However, he recently took to Instagram to call out his former flame when his fans asked him to reveal something that nobody knows about him.

“People have no idea the type of work ethic I have just because I’ve been working for [Jenelle], cleaning up after her lazy ass for years,” David wrote in the comments.

Trusting the Process

On the other hand, the former 16 and Pregnant star previously opened up about why she was leaving the marriage in her announcement on October 31.

“I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty, but it’s been my life,” she wrote. “Like anyone else, I want what’s best for my kids, and I want to be happy.”

Hindsight Is 20/20

“With time away from Teen Mom, I’ve started to look at my life differently, and I know I need to make changes,” Jenelle continued. “I’m starting that now.”

Relocating Her Family

Jenelle also confirmed that she and her children have moved away from David. She concluded, “Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end, but I know that’s what is best for me and for my kids.”
