It’s over! Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans revealed that she is making some adjustments to her life — including getting a divorce from her husband, David Eason. “I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,” the 27-year-old wrote via Instagram on Thursday, October 31. “I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty, but it’s been my life. Like anyone else, I want what’s best for my kids, and I want to be happy. With time away from Teen Mom, I’ve started to look at my life differently, and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now.”

The MTV personality added, “The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end, but I know that’s what is best for me and for my kids. Today, I’ve filed papers to start that process.”

Despite their rocky relationship, Jenelle made it clear that she is doing just fine. “I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am,” she said. “Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together, but you’ll hear from us again soon.”

It’s no surprise that the brunette beauty — who is the mom to three kids: Jace, 10, Kaiser, 5, and Ensley, 2 — wants to start over. On October 24, Jenelle hinted about relationships not working out with a cryptic meme. “The divorce rates are so high because people are ready for WEDDINGS NOT MARRIAGES,” it read. “I said what I said.” However, David, 31, acted like everything was normal as he posted a picture of his lady with their daughter in the middle of the street. “The most perfect sight I’ve ever seen!” he wrote on Instagram on October 30.

It’s been quite the summer for the former flames ever since David shot and killed the family’s French bulldog, Nugget. In May, Jenelle confirmed that the pup was gone but didn’t explain what had happened. “I don’t give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face. … Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog, and I don’t put up with that s—t at all,” David wrote on social media, referring to his side of the story. “I’m all about protecting my family. It is my life’s mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for, and my family means that much to me. You can hate me all you want, but this isn’t the first time the dog big Ensley aggressively.”

Even though the mom of three claimed she was considering a divorce, she later denied David had anything to do with Nugget’s untimely death. But David later revealed he needed to shoot the dog for the safety of his family. “This was something that nobody wants to ever have to do,” he told People. “It was a situation where my daughter, her health, her safety was in danger.”

Ultimately, the reality starlet stuck by her man and explained that it was part of his upbringing. “David has grown up in the country lifestyle — he hunts, he fishes. The way he was raised is really different than a lot of other places,” she said. “We understand that people are scared of the whole gun thing, [but] they just don’t understand it from David’s perspective. … His father taught him, ‘Don’t let any animal hurt you’ … and he just thought what he was doing was best.”

Well, it seems like these two are done — for now.
